A fund raiser was done to help with the cost of travel to Las Vegas.
Preparation for the Kalua Pig fund raiser was started the first order of business
was to set the date for the pick-up and when all the work needed to be done.
Once that was done the tickets were printed and the ground work needed to
be done. New stones were needed, the hole was dug, the wood was
picked-up the banana stumps and ti leaves were gathered. On May 3rd we
picked 2 pigs. They were brought down to the site and cleaned and prepared.
The Imu was started and ready the pigs went into the Imu at 10:30 pm. At
11:00 am the next day the Imu was opened and the Pig came out cooked and
ready to be bagged. There was a lot of work that was done and the pick-up
was the next day. Below are some of the pictures that was taken. Mahalo to
Klaine for the work he did butchering the pig.
